The software can't fix a cheap printers errors. If you are expecting it to print to a perfect scale on a cheap printer, you are out of luck.
This was expected, and is exactly the same with anything you print with it. The standard office printer gave me a 3% under-sized print vertically ( just as with printing AutoCAD files) and the plotters were dead on. One word of caution: most printers don't scale correctly both horizontally and vertically. If you import a DWG with free tools, normally, you have only geometry without any style. The good thing is that with QCAD you can read the annotation in DWG files. You have too a non free version financed effort to make a good support, but it cost couple of euros (i think under 30 bucks, and it's lifetime). Otherwise I suggest QCAD as good alternative.
